Anshul Kamboj of Haryana made Ranji Trophy history on Friday by taking an incredible ten wickets in one innings during his team's match against Kerala in round five at Rohtak. With his outstanding bowling effort, Kamboj finished with stats of 10/49, making him just the third bowler in the history of the event to take all 10 wickets in a single innings. His remarkable accomplishment puts him in the same league as Pradeep Sundaram (10/78) of Rajasthan and Premangshu Chatterjee (10/20) of Bengal, who had previously achieved the same uncommon feat.

As he accomplished the unprecedented accomplishment, the BCCI domestic official account rushed to social media to share snippets of his period. The post was captioned by BCCI domestic, “WOW! Haryana Pacer Anshul Kamboj has taken all 10 Kerala wickets in the 1st innings in #RanjiTrophy. He's just the 6th Indian bowler to achieve this feat in First-Class cricket & only the 3rd in Ranji Trophy."

Meet the rising star Anshul Kamboj:

Kamboj finished the outstanding effort by removing Basil Thampi and Shoun Roger to bowl Kerala out for 291 after beginning the third day with eight wickets already in hand. Joginder Sharma, who took eight wickets against Vidarbha in the 2004–05 season, had the previous best bowling performance by a Haryana bowler in the Ranji Trophy. That is surpassed by Kamboj's 10-wicket haul, solidifying his developing status as one of the up-and-coming stars of Indian domestic cricket. When the 23-year-old played for the Mumbai Indians in the 2024 Indian Premier League, he gained notoriety earlier this year.

After they resumed at 138/2, the Karnal bowler, who had taken two wickets on the first day, maintained his incredible run by dismissing overnight batsmen Sachin Baby (52) and Akshay Chandran (59).

Kamboj's next victim was Jalal Sexena, but Mohammed Azarudden put up some fight with a knock of 53 and 74 runs with Sachin Baby. However, before terrible light forced an early stop to the day's play, Kamboj came back to dismiss both of the batsmen and MD Nidheesh.
