In the fifth match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, India, captained by Rohit Sharma, will play their bitter rivals, Pakistan, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In the intense match between two bitter rivals, Pakistan captain Muhammad Rizwan chose to bat after winning the toss against India. Fakhar Zaman was substituted by Imam-ul-Haq in the Pakistani playing XI for the crucial match.
Fakhar Zaman Out of India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025:
Due to an oblique tear, Pakistan's starter Fakhar Zaman will not be participating in their Champions Trophy 2025 match against India in Dubai. Notably, Fakhar was ruled out of the competition after injuring himself while fielding in the first over of Pakistan's match against New Zealand in Karachi. In Dubai, Imam-ul-Haq, who took Fakhar's place in the Pakistani team, was unable to score many goals against Pakistan. Imam was run out in the tenth over of Pakistan's innings after scoring 10 from 26.
Rizwan at the toss said, "Will bat first, looks like a good surface. Want to put up a good target. Every match is important in ICC events, so we will keep things normal. The boys are familiar with these conditions, we have done well here and we want to do our best today. We lost our last game, but it is past for us now. One change - Fakhar is out, Imam is in."
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma said, "Doesn't really matter, they won the toss so we'll bowl first. Looks similar to the last game, the surface is on the slower side. We have an experienced unit in batting so we know what we need to do if the pitches get slower. Need an overall performance from the team - with bat and ball. The last game wasn't an easy one for us, which is always nice. You want to be under pressure and test yourself."
