Women's T20 World Cup 2024: Rana Daggubati Meets Indian Team in Dubai

As the Indian women's cricket team arrived in Dubai for the forthcoming Women's T20 World Cup 2024, Baahubali star Rana Daggubati sent his best wishes. The actor was included in a video that was posted on the Women's X account of BCCI, showing snippets of the Indian team's touchdown in Dubai.

At the airport were players Asha Sobhana, Shreyanka Patil, Sajeevan Sajana, Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, and others. Along with the actor, the cricket players took photos. From October 3 to October 20, 2024, the United Arab Emirates will host the Women's T20 World Cup. Due to the country's ongoing civil strife, the tournament's original location in Bangladesh had to be changed.

A video of the Women in Blue flying into Dubai to compete in the ICC event was posted on the BCCI Women's social media accounts on Wednesday, September 25. As he appeared in the video, Daggubati wished the team luck on the big occasion. "These incredible people and I met at the airport. And I'm sending them my best wishes," Daggubati stated in a video that BCCI Women posted to 'X' (formerly known as Twitter).

It is expected that Harmanpreet Kaur will join the select group of six cricket players who have participated in each of the nine Women's T20 World Cups. Legendary cricketers including Sophie Devine (England), Marizanne Kapp (South Africa), Ellyse Perry (Australia), Suzie Bates (New Zealand), and Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka) will be joined by the Indian captain.

According to Harmanpreet, she is eager to put all of her knowledge to use in helping the Indian women's team win the World Cup for the first time. India captain Harmanpreet said, "I have played in so many World Cups, and that experience and atmosphere is totally different to any bilateral series or any other tournament," just before the team left late on Tuesday night for the United Arab Emirates.
