Dhurandhar and Animal Villains Akshaye Khanna and Bobby Deol to Reunite for Humraaz 2?

Talented actors have been reintroduced to audiences through new content in recent years. We fell in love with seasoned actors and their trade once more after seeing them in previously unseen avatars. Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna are two of the most notable instances of this. Bobby became an overnight celebrity with Animal (2023), despite having minimal speech and less screen time than lead actor Ranbir Kapoor. On the other hand, Akshaye became the newest fascination on the internet after showcasing his unparalleled aura as Rehman Dakait in Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar.

It's interesting to note that they both collaborated on the 2002 smash movie Humraaz. Ameesha Patel played the lead in the movie as well. The possibility of making Humraaz 2 is currently being discussed, and Akshay and Bobby will once more be featured.

Ratan Jain to Sign Akshaye Khanna and Bobby Deol?

Akshaye Khanna and Bobby Deol’s successful comeback has reignited buzz around Humraaz 2. Producer Ratan Jain revealed he would consider a sequel if he finds the right, age-appropriate script for the duo, praising both actors for their talent and selective approach to films.

In a recent interview, director Ratan Jain, who produced Humraaz, starring Akshaye Khanna, Bobby Deol, and Ameesha Patel, discussed the potential for a follow-up. When questioned about the same in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the director revealed, “I can make Humraaz 2 if I get the right script for these two actors. We need to have scripts where they fit the part and have age-appropriate roles.”  

Talking about the two actors, he said, “Bobby is a pleasure to work with and so is Akshaye. As for Akshaye, let him get settled for some time after this humongous success that he has seen. I’ll try to meet him. We are very good friends. He deserves better films.”

He went on to add, “Akshaye has always been like this – very selective in his films. Money is secondary to him. If he’s not happy with the script, he’ll reject the film.” 

Right now, Akshaye Khanna is preparing for the premiere of his next movie, Mahakali. In addition, the crowd is eager to see him once more with the March 19 release of Dhurandhar 2. Regarding his career, Bobby Deol will soon appear with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the film Alpha.
