Even before the cameras begin to roll, there is a lot of excitement surrounding Drishyam 3. While Bollywood viewers are interested in seeing Ajay Devgn adapt the plot for Hindi cinema, Mohanlal fans are anxiously awaiting his return to this legendary role. Exciting discussions about which version will be released in theatres first have led to a lot of conjecture. Fans who have been guessing online finally have clarity after director Jeethu Joseph clarified the situation.

The main character in the Hindi adaptation of the series is played by Bollywood star Ajay Devgn. The question of which third-party version will be released first has fans giddy. In the meantime, Jeethu Joseph has stated that the Hindi film crew is awaiting his script and that the Malayalam version of "Drishyam 3" will be released.

Drishyam 3 Malayalam Release:

In a recent interview, Jeethu Joseph said, "Malayalam is first. They are waiting for our script. If they try to make a version for themselves, legal action should be taken. But I don't think they will do that." Although he cannot foresee it, Jeethu states that if anyone ventured to work independently, they would seek legal action. In other words, the third chapter will provide the Malayalam audience with their first taste of drama and suspense. Although a release date has not yet been set, the news has sufficiently slowed down the rumours.

Only after the Malayalam script is shared will the Hindi version, starring Ajay Devgn, begin production. However, this doesn't lessen the enthusiasm of the fans who can't wait to see the plot unfold on a Bollywood screen. Jeethu Joseph purposefully created both versions to preserve the narrative's value and thrill to provide a full impact in whichever language the audience chooses to view it in. On September 19, 2025, Jeethu Joseph's most recent thriller, Mirage, which starred Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali, debuted in theatres in addition to Drishyam 3. Internet users gave the movie mediocre reviews.
