Is Ranveer Singh Starrer Dhurandhar 2 Postponed? Find Out Dhurandhar 2 Release Date!

The sequel to Ranveer Singh's film Dhurandhar has become one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year, particularly in light of the record-breaking box office success of the first instalment. Despite earlier rumours, director Aditya Dhar doesn't seem to be in the mood to change the release date of Dhurandhar 2, which is expected to compete with Yash's Toxic at the box office.

According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, Dhurandhar 2 will not be delayed and is set to open in theatres on March 19. The portal quotes a source saying, “It is a hundred per cent on. The date March 19 is final and irrevocable. The false stories doing the rounds about the postponement are desperate attempts to play our film down. People were spreading such rumours before the release of the first part also."  However, the filmmaker has now uploaded a story on his official Instagram account confirming the new and delayed released date for his much awaited movie.

Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, which was released in December 2025, was a commercial and critical success. The movie went on to become the largest film of 2025 and shatter several box office records. According to a trade tracking website, the movie has earned an incredible Rs 1283.5 crore globally as of Day 45. Out of this, outside markets contributed Rs 293.6 crore, while India collected Rs 989.9 crore.

According to a rumour published on Wednesday by Mid-Day, Vicky Kaushal, who is presently filming Love and War, would have a lengthy appearance in Dhurandhar 2. The actor was rumoured to have already filmed his scene. However, a subsequent report by Bollywood Hungama denied such rumours and stated that Kaushal's role from Uri: The Surgical Strike would not appear in Dhurandhar 2. Additionally, the source warned everyone not to trust the rumours, calling them "outrageous."
