T Series to Back Kartik Aaryan Starrer Captain India Movie

With five films together, Kartik Aaryan and T-Series have a strong track record. Four of these films have done well at the box office: Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (2024). They are now prepared to work together once more. According to a news outlet, a reputable music label and production company have joined forces for the gifted actor's next movie, Captain India.

A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama says, “Captain India is written and produced by Harman Baweja. Now, T-Series has also joined as a producer, as they saw potential in the story, Kartik’s casting and Shimit Amin’s association as the director. The recce has been completed, and the film is expected to go floors in the second quarter of 2026."

Shimit Amin returns with Captain India after a 17-year hiatus. All three of the director's films have a devoted fan base. After making his debut with the gritty Ab Tak Chhappan (2004), he went on to make the popular Chak De India (2007), which starred Shah Rukh Khan. Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009), starring Ranbir Kapoor, was his third film. Despite its poor box office performance, it eventually became a cult favourite.

According to trade analysts, the Kartik Aaryan–T-Series pairing has become one of the more profitable partnerships in the Hindi film industry in recent years due to their constant box office performance. Therefore, it is thought that their reunion for Captain India is a strategically important move. In addition to co-production duties, the studio is expected to provide music and distribution support, which has historically been crucial to the success of their collaborative ventures.

In the meantime, Anurag Basu is directing the untitled musical tale, which Kartik Aaryan and T-Series are working on. The second part of 2026 is when it is expected to be released. The actor is now filming Naagzilla, which is being directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba of Fukrey fame. In his kitty, he also has Kabir Khan's next.
