After the horrific events that transpired at RCB's IPL celebrations in Bengaluru, cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma returned to Mumbai with a shroud of gloom. The stampede disaster in Bengaluru, which took 11 lives and injured 33, spoiled the festive mood of RCB's IPL 2025 victory.

Anushka and Virat were spotted on their way back to Mumbai on Thursday. Recently, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were seen at the Mumbai airport, looking effortlessly stylish in matching black and white ensembles. The pair hurriedly climbed into their Range Rover and drove away, looking effortlessly gorgeous. Anushka wore a black T-shirt and denim trousers for a more understated look at the airport, while Virat wore a sharp shirt with denim and his signature cap.

Virat and Anushka kept a low profile at the airport, not engaging with the photographers who were waiting or posing for them. They had serious looks on their faces as they moved quickly to their car. They were also not observed grinning. While celebrating the team's Indian Premier League (IPL) triumph on Wednesday, there was a rush outside Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium that left 11 people dead and 33 injured. What was meant to be a memorable day for Bengaluru's RCB supporters became a nightmare when mayhem broke out and police officers were unable to keep a tight grip on the throng of people.

After the stampede, Virat, the top player for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), was at a "loss of words." Virat posted the RCB's official statement about the rush on Instagram. The right-handed hitter wrote, "At a loss for words," in the caption. Gutted beyond belief. Speaking about RCB's win, Virat paused the post-match conversation to thank his wife for her personal and emotional support. The victory put an end to RCB's 18-year-long pursuit of the prized IPL trophy.
