India will be hosting the West Indies for three ODIs and five T20Is in September-October 2026. The West Indies had previously visited India for two tests this year and now will play a white-ball series.
The first T20I will be played in Lucknow on October 6; the second T20I will be played on October 9 in Ranchi, and the third T20I will be played on October 11 in Indore. The last two T20Is will be played on October 14 and October 17 in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, respectively.

Ishan Kishan has been in very good form ever since regaining his spot in the Indian T20I XI and has cemented the No. 3 spot. He has scored 905 runs in 27 T20Is in 2026 with one century and 6 fifties at a strike rate of 171.07. Kishan has made sure that the momentum given by openers continues in the powerplay overs and beyond. The left-hander has made sure there is pressure on other contenders to keep performing.
2. Sanju Samson
Sanju Samson has had a sedate 2026 in T20Is, scoring 526 runs in 18 games with 5 fifties and a best score of 97* with a strike rate of 179.52. Samson has been feeling pressure to continue performing thanks to the huge talent of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Samson has done well by scoring two fifties in the Afghanistan T20I series and has managed to keep the teenager at bay due to his form.
1. Abhishek Sharma
Abhishek Sharma has been in excellent form in T20Is with 420 runs in 14 games in 2026, with a strike rate of 208.05, including one century and two fifties. He had been in troubling form before the Afghanistan T20Is, but the southpaw has been in top form since then. He also hit the fastest T20I century by a full-member nation batter in 30 balls. Expect him to massacre Windies bowlers in the upcoming T20I series.
