After IPL Breakthrough, Priyansh Arya Sets Sights on Ranji Trophy Debut

The young player claims that he has spoken with the Delhi association about a potential inclusion in the Ranji Trophy team for the 2025–2026 campaign.

Young Delhi batsman Priyansh Arya is now resolved to convert his white ball form into the traditional format and establish himself as a red-ball regular for Delhi in the forthcoming Ranji season after impressing everyone with his unrestrained and brave style in the IPL. The young batsman from Delhi, who rose to prominence in the Delhi Premier League, thinks it's time to move past the shortest format."After DPL, I will start preparation for red-ball cricket. Last year as well, I spoke about how I want to play that form of cricket," Arya told PTI videos while attending the Outer Delhi Warriors jersey launch ceremony in New Delhi.

The teenage cricket player recently talked about his hopes of joining Delhi's team for red-ball forms so he can compete in competitions like the Ranji Trophy. The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 is still his top priority right now, but the Indian domestic season is about to begin, and it appears that the left-handed batter doesn't want to take a break.

NDTV Sports quotes Priyansh saying, “After IPL, people have started recognising me more. Whenever I go out now, they ask for selfies and photos. It feels really good to be known now, it gives me a sense of pride. Losing the IPL final still hurts, but now we have to wait for the next edition and by the time we don't win the final, it will stay that way,”

The first In the IPL 2025, Southpaw was at the top of his game as a batsman for the Punjab Kings team, amassing an incredible 475 runs from 17 games and attacking right away. He got off to a scorching start in the powerplay overs, but he did not have the best performance in the IPL final against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. PBKS came very near, but were unable to win their first league trophy. Priyansh hasn't moved on yet.
