At the team hotel, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team, the reigning Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 champions, enthusiastically celebrated the festival of colours and embraced the celebratory spirit of Holi. Taking a respite from their intense preseason training, the players and support staff celebrated Holi in the traditional manner, sharing colours, laughing, and bonding.

KKR star players Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi were spotted taking part in the celebrations and smearing each other with colour in a riot of vibrant hues. Members of the coaching staff, such as head coach Chandrakant Pandit and spin bowling coach Carl Crowe, were also present during the festivities. The happy event demonstrated the team's close relationship and positive vibes in anticipation of the new season.

KKR Celebrates Holi in Style:

On March 22 at the storied Eden Gardens, the Kolkata Knight Riders will play the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the opening match of their IPL 2025 championship defence. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had a puja ritual on the Eden Gardens field here on Wednesday to kick off their pre-tournament training.

The club has discovered a fantastic blend of young and experienced players this time around. The defending champions have named all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer as their vice-captain, while veteran cricketer Ajinkya Rahane has been assigned to lead the team this season.Β The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be the first opponent of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2025 Indian Premier League. On Saturday, March 22, the two teams will play their tournament opener at Kolkata's famous Eden Gardens.

On Wednesday, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) held a puja ritual at the Eden Gardens pitch to kick off their pre-tournament camp in Kolkata. Before playing cricket at this historic location, the players and coaching staff, under the direction of head coach Chandrakant Pandit, took part in the ceremony. As a tribute to cricket, captain Ajinkya Rahane and Eden Gardens' pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee carried out the rites in hopes of obtaining blessings for yet another prosperous IPL season.
