In the next Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) super auction, former India opener turned analyst Aakash Chopra believes wicketkeeper batters Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul would fetch a hefty price. Notably, all 10 teams must make their list of retained players public by Thursday, October 31st, prior to the auction.
According to reports, KL Rahul may be released by the Lucknow Super Giants prior to the IPL 2025 auction, putting the great batsman-wicketkeeper up for a possibly profitable bidding battle. Former cricket player Aakash Chopra has predicted that teams may spend a lot of money to acquire Rahul, which has already created excitement over his possible arrival into the auction pool. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant is also unlikely to be retained by his franchise Delhi Capitals (DC).
KL Rahul's Value Hits New High:
As a result, the pair is probably going to be the most sought-after players at the auction. According to Aakash Chopra, who shared his thoughts on the matter, the pair is probably going to be sold for a substantial sum of money, between INR 25 and 30 crore.

Chopra stated on his YouTube channel, "Rishabh Pant is going to get a lot of money. The amount could go to INR 25 crore or even 30. The same is true for KL Rahul. Again a wicketkeeper-batter and scores 500-600 runs every year. Some people will cry over his strike rate. I saw a meme somewhere that he is more than 30 years old and married, and everyone is saying he is finished, so CSK might take him as such players go there."
Rahul's popularity is further enhanced by his current performance trend. His strike rate of 113.22 in the 2023 IPL was among his lowest in the tournament's history, but he bounced back well in the 2024 season, increasing it to 136.13. In addition to Rahul, Rishabh Pant is probably going to be up for auction since, according to sources on Wednesday night, the Delhi Capitals have chosen to let go of its star captain.
