Basit Ali, a former cricket player for Pakistan, criticized Yashasvi Jaiswal for a string of subpar IPL 2025 performances. He emphasized that the southpaw 'isn't focusing on cricket' on his YouTube account. The former footballer also used Prithvi Shaw as an example, explaining what happened to him after a few years of success.

Since returning from Australia following a devastating 3-1 series loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Jaiswal has lost his spark. Due to his poor achievements in the current Indian Premier League 2025, a fresh prodigy who swept the globe after making his debut in 2023 is now the target of criticism.

In addition to scoring 67 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jaiswal's bat has been quiet. As games pile up in the action-packed, lucrative league, the 23-year-old, who was the Rajasthan Royals' shining knight, is now in a position to live up to his reputation.

Basit Ali Calls Out Yashasvi Jaiswal:

Sanju Samson has been playing well, on the one hand. He has been reliable, scoring runs and assisting the club in reaching respectable totals. RR is having trouble winning games in spite of their best efforts. The Rajasthan-based team fell by 58 runs in their last match against the Gujarat Titans. Basit Ali said, "His stomach has filled. Jaiswal isn't focusing on cricket. This is my open message: Cricket can make you cry a lot. Look at Prithvi Shaw. Love cricket and bring passion."

Sai Sudharsan and Priyansh Arya steal the show with their outstanding performances, while Jaiswal keeps trying to reclaim his lost swagger. When Priyansh, the opener for the Punjab Kings, hammered a century off just 39 balls against the Chennai Super Kings, he broke a few records.

Following the 2024 T20 World Cup, Indian cricketing legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma declared their retirement from T20I play. Basit Ali said they made the right decision by leaving because India has plenty of players to take their place. Many young cricket players deserve a spot on the team since they are playing so well in the T20 format.
