The Indian Premier League (IPL) teams were recently notified by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) that two sets of elite players would be up for grabs at the IPL 2025 super auction. Notably, the massive auction is scheduled to take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25.

Two sets of high-profile players are expected to be included in the next Indian Premier League (IPL) mega-auction for the 2025 season. Two marquee lists with eight to nine players per set will be presented, the BCCI has notified the franchisees. It's interesting that the 2022 mega auction only offered one set of well-known players. Additionally, there were two sets of lists for the major auctions in 2014 and 2018.

Big Update in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions:

Each player is expected to be the most sought-after group in the auction, with a base price of INR 2 crores. While there were two sets of high-profile players in the major auctions in 2018 and 2014, there was only one set in the preceding mega-auction in 2022. The teams will have spent between 30 and 50 per cent of their budget in an attempt to sign at least two well-known players.

The marquee player roster is anticipated to include a number of well-known individuals. According to Cricbuzz, players such as Arshdeep Singh, R Ashwin, Mitchell Starc, Jos Buttler, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer are anticipated to attend.

Additionally, the BCCI has not yet disclosed the order of the marquee list, but it is anticipated to do so within the next few days. The BCCI circulated 1,574 names in all. Indian players make up 1165 of the 1574 registrations, while 409 are from other countries. The BCCI also requested that teams submit their recommendations for players they would want to see at the auction. The clubs were given until November 12 to submit the names they would like to see on the final roster.
