The Indian Premier League (IPL), which will commence on March 22, will begin play the following month. The five-time champion Mumbai Indians are one of the teams that fans will be anticipating seeing. They have presented their new jersey for the 2025 season, which features some intriguing new partners.
In a video message, the franchise stated, “Dear Paltan, we know our last season was one to forget. But now, a new season is upon us with a chance to make it right. 2025 is our opportunity to bring back the legacy where it belongs. With the blue and gold on us, we will take the field to play like Mumbai. This is not just our jersey. This is a promise to you."

Aside from Hardik, the film included some of the most well-known members of the MI team, including their former captain Rohit Sharma, ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, T20 standout Suryakumar Yadav, and an up-and-coming Southpaw named Tilak Varma. Along with some new sponsors, the jersey now features "Sketchers" as its official kit partner. Pandya also gave supporters a poignant message and reminisced on the terrible season in the video.
On March 23, the Mumbai Indians will play the Chennai Super Kings in the opening match of the 2025 Indian Premier League. In the season's third match, Chennai will host Mumbai at the Chepauk. The rematch between the two sides is scheduled for April 20 at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Due to a suspension for a slow over-rate violation in the 2024 IPL, Hardik Pandya will not play in the Mumbai Indians' IPL 2025 opener against the Chennai Super Kings.
Last season, the team made a significant shift by appointing Hardik Pandya as its head, which sparked a lot of criticism from both fans and experts. Since the team also finished near the bottom of the table, this alteration had no beneficial effects.
