The schedule of the ICC ODI World Cup 2026 was announced on October 2, 2026, in South Africa in the presence of some of the biggest former cricketers. The ICC World Cup 2026 will be played from October 7 to November 21 and will be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The 12 teams – two of whom have yet to be decided – will be divided into two groups of six. Afghanistan, Australia, India, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and one of the qualifiers make up Group A. Bangladesh, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and the other qualifier make up Group B.

According to the official ICC World Cup 2027 schedule, the matches will be held across eleven venues: Windhoek, Cape Town, Tshwane, Bulawayo, Johannesburg, Paarl, KuGompo City, Gqeberha, Victoria Falls, Bloemfontein, and Durban.
Notably, India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group, Group A. The group also consists of Australia, Afghanistan, Qualifier A and Zimbabwe.
India will open the main group stage of the ICC ODI World Cup 2026 on October 7 at Cape Town, when they face defending champions Australia. Then they play the arch-rivals Pakistan on October 10 in Johannesburg. India’s third match will be against Afghanistan on October 14 in Tshwane, followed by Qualifier A in Bloemfontein on October 17.
India’s last clash will be against Zimbabwe on October 24 in Victoria Falls.

The three-team Super Series will kick off the ODI World Cup next year on October 2 in Windhoek. The group stage begins five days later, and the Super 7 phase will go from October 25 until November 14.
The semi-finals will take place in Cape Town on November 17 and Tshwane on November 18. The Cricket World Cup 2027 final will be held in Johannesburg on November 21.
