The Women’s Premier League (WPL 2027) mini auction was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt in Kochi, Kerala, beginning at 5:30 p.m. IST (local time). Altogether, 146 players made the shortlist for 27 available slots, seven of which are reserved for overseas cricketers.
Gujarat Giants were conservative in their approach in the WPL auction and only bought three players. G Kamalini and Samaira Raghav were the two Indians bought by the franchise, while Orla Pendergast became the first Irish Women’s cricketer to be sold in WPL history.
