Injury during CPL 2024 ends Dwayne Bravo's cricket career!

Ace cricket player Dwayne Bravo faced a major loss after a serious groin injury during a CPL 2024 game. The cricketer has been forced to retire from all formats of cricket.

The renowned West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has declared his immediate retirement from all forms of cricket following a groin injury he suffered during the CPL 2024. Bravo was expected to play the entire season for the Trinbago Knight Riders participating in the current CPL edition. However, an injury sustained during a match versus St Lucia Kings prevented him from competing, and now the all-rounder has made the decision to end his remarkable career.

Following the 2021 T20 World Cup, Bravo announced his retirement from international cricket. He played his final IPL match for CSK in 2022 before accepting a position as a bowling coach with the same team. Bravo was scheduled to play for MI Emirates in the ILT20 after the current CPL, but he has opted out and won't be seen playing competitive cricket any more.

With 631 wickets in 582 appearances and 6970 runs scored, Dwayne Bravo concluded his T20 career with impressive stats that demonstrate his versatility in the shortest format. With 129 wickets in 107 matches, he concluded his CPL career as the highest wicket-taker as well. Following his retirement, he is probably going to serve as a coach and mentor.
