On Saturday, May 17, the Sharjah Cricket Stadium will host the opening game of the two-T20I series between Bangladesh (BAN) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
For the first time since they drew the two-match Test series against Zimbabwe at home last month, Bangladesh will play. The Bangla Tigers' final T20I season will be remembered with fondness. In December 2024, they defeated the West Indies 3-0 in the Caribbean. Litton Das, the new captain, will hope to lead Bangladesh to consecutive T20I series victories. In the meantime, the UAE is recovering from a dismal ICC Cricket World Cup League Two campaign. From May 4 to May 14, they played two ODIs against the Netherlands and three against Scotland. The Rahul Chopra-led team lost the other games and only managed one victory over Scotland.

The Sharjah pitch is primarily dry with a few cracks, which might help spinners as the match goes on. The captain who wins the toss should decide to bat first to take advantage of the improved conditions, since it is likely to be simpler to bat early on.
Weather Report:
There is no danger of rain during the game, and the temperature is predicted to be approximately 31°C.
