Harshit Rana, a speedster for Delhi, was rewarded on Tuesday by being called up by India for the series' third and final Test match against New Zealand, which is scheduled to start on Friday at Mumbai's legendary Wankhede Stadium. His all-around exploits for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy encounter against Assam, where he took five wickets and hit fifty runs while batting at number eight, were just the day before the development.

Rana claimed five wickets in the first innings of Delhi's just-completed Ranji Trophy third-round match against Assam at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. He then went on to claim a vital half-century and two more wickets in the second innings, contributing to Delhi's convincing 10-wicket victory. Sarandeep Singh, the current coach of Delhi and a former national selector, so expressed his belief in Rana's preparedness for red-ball cricket.

Harshit Rana Ready For Debut:

Sarandeep Singh, the current coach of Delhi and a former national selector, told The Indian Express, "He is ready to play Test cricket. It would be good for him if he plays the Mumbai Test before going to Australia." The management released Harshit for Delhi's third-round Ranji Trophy encounter against Assam at the Arun Jaitley Stadium after the selectors had originally included him in the Indian team for the New Zealand series as a travelling reserve. He is scheduled to make his Test debut on Friday at the Wankhede Stadium, according to an article in the Indian Express.

In addition, Rana is already included in the 18-man roster for the forthcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy series in Australia, where he will play in a speed attack of six players under the leadership of Jasprit Bumrah. After his outstanding Ranji Trophy performance, Rana spoke and praised the team's management.
