The BCA Cricket Stadium at Kotambi, close to Vadodara (Baroda), will host a three-match ODI series between India and the West Indies. On Sunday, December 22, the first ODI is scheduled to take place. The most recent Indian location to host an international match is the BCA Cricket Stadium. An injured Yastika Bhatia will not be able to play at home when India plays the West Indies in the three-match women's ODIs at Kotambi Stadium.

Amol Muzumdar, the head coach of India, expressed hope that the young player, who sustained a wrist fracture last month, would return to action soon. She is presently enrolled at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The stadium, which is sometimes referred to as Kotambi Stadium, can accommodate an astounding 40,000 spectators. A few of Baroda's home games during the Ranji Trophy 2024–25 season have taken place at Kotambi Stadium. The first first-class match played at this location was the Group A match between Baroda and Meghalaya.

Big celebration at Kotambi Stadium:

Intriguingly, it has been reported that Kotambi Stadium will host a few Gujarat Titans home games in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season because, if reports are to be believed, their regular home field, Narendra Modi Stadium, will host the second phase of the Women's Premier League (WPL) before the IPL. This will allow the ground staff at Narendra Modi Stadium enough time to get the massive venue ready for the demands of the IPL.

Among others, former India cricketer Kiran More and the Baroda Cricket Association's former president and former IPL chairman Chirayu Amin will attend a brief presentation to commemorate the event. The association is hoping for a large turnout at the venue, which is roughly 30 kilometres from the city of Vadodara. A limited number of tickets, priced at Rs 100, have been put up for sale.
