Tickets for the second Twenty20 International between India and Australia, which is set for October 31 in Melbourne, have already sold out despite all the changes in India's ODI lineup, including the dismissal of Rohit Sharma as captain and the appointment of Shubman Gill in his place. Public tickets for the Melbourne T20I have sold out more than three weeks before the match, according to Cricket Australia.

From October 19 to November 8, 2025, Australia will host India for a three-match ODI and five-match T20I series. Since the schedules were revealed, there has been a surge in anticipation, especially among Indian fans in Australia. Demand for India's matches has surpassed expectations after the response to the Ashes earlier this year, making it one of the most anticipated cricket events of the Australian summer.

India vs Australia 2025 T20I is Housefull:

India's white-ball tour of Australia will include the much-anticipated match on October 31 at the storied Melbourne Cricket Ground. Given that two of the major draws, India's ace batsmen, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, retired from Twenty20 Internationals following their victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup and would not be participating in these matches, the sell-out is noteworthy. However, Abhishek Sharma's appeal throughout the past 15 months of his international career cannot be denied. In 23 games, he has amassed 849 runs with a strike rate of 196 and an average of nearly 37.

The BKT Tyres Men's ODI and T20I series has sold over 175,000 tickets altogether, according to Cricket Australia, with just over 30,000 seats left for the eight games. Tickets for the Adelaide ODI and Gabba T20I are almost sold out, with less than 5,000 remaining apiece, while public allocations for the Sydney and Manuka Oval matches have already been used up. CA CEO Todd Greenberg explained how the popularity of the series led to the sell-out MCG fixture.

Notably, Indian fan clubs have been instrumental in driving a large amount of the demand for tickets. Indian supporter clubs have bought more than 16% of the tickets sold, with The Bharat Army having more than 2,400 and Fans India having more than 1,400. Hundreds of seats have also been secured by community organisations like the Indian Community of Gold Coast and Brissy Baniyas.
