Mitchell Starc hit Rishabh Pant on the back with a quick direct toss during the second session of the pink ball Test match between Australia and India. Even though Pant smiled and dismissed the event, he was shaken by the blow and fell to Pat Cummins on the very next ball of the over. Australia chose to bat first in the second Test match between India and Australia, which got underway in Adelaide. Following the golden duck of Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul and Shubman Gill shared 69 runs. But three wickets fell quickly before lunch, leaving India at 81/4.

From the beginning, the veteran appeared to be on the money, and it seemed impossible to counter the channels he bowled in. The left-arm struck teenage batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal on the pads with a fuller ball that swung late, dismissing his leg before wicket on the opening delivery of the match. He did not, however, have the same level of success with the rest of his initial burst. Starc was removed from the assault after being creamed for five boundaries after removing Jaiswal.

Mitchell Starc sets the stage on fire:

Nitish Reddy demanded a fast single after hitting a delivery from Pat Cummins at 140.2 kph to mid-on in the 33rd over. Rishabh Pant, however, responded late because he was too busy monitoring the ball. When Pant launched himself from the non-striker end, Nitish was already halfway. Mitchell Starc took up the ball and struck it straight and sharply, hitting Pant instead of the stumps.

But it would have been impossible to count out a formidable rival like Starc. After returning to the midst of the action, he bowled again and had Virat Kohli and KL Rahul grabbed in a very identical way in the first two overs. The ball took the edge before reaching the fielders in the slip cordon, preventing both hitters from leaving the delivery at the last second.
