'Isko Bahar Kro'- Rohit Sharma Trolled After Pink-Ball Warm-Up Tie

India did not have any match practice on the first day of the two-day warm-up match because of the rain. To ensure that the visitors received all-around playing time, a 46-overs-a-side competition was held on the second day.

On Sunday, December 1, Rohit Sharma, the regular captain of the Test team, made his comeback during the warm-up match between Team India (IND) and the Prime Minister's XI (PM's XI) at Canberra's Manuka Oval. The 'Hitman' was on paternity leave, hence he missed the first Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25) in Perth. As Jasprit Bumrah guided the Indian team to a historic 295-run victory, he joined the team midway through the match.

India chose to test skipper and consistent opener Sharma at number four batting after he returned to the team. Rohit Sharma fell to number three, which did not go well for the visitors. Indian fans were anticipating the 37-year-old's performance in his Sunday comeback match. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul started the batting after the foreigners bowled out the Jack Edward-led team for 240 in the 46-over-a-side match. He dropped to the third position in the batting order. Charlie Anderson, a 19-year-old right-arm pacer, defeated him after he faced 11 balls and managed just three runs.

Rohit Sharma's major setback:

Since it was a practice match, the Indian innings went to their allotted 46 overs, but the Rohit-led team prevailed by 6 wickets. In the home Test series against New Zealand, Sharma only managed 91 runs from six innings. After India was defeated 3-0 at home for the first time, the veteran player received a lot of criticism for his efforts. However, the internet was not happy with Rohit Sharma's performance. Check out the trolls below.

A flurry of shot balls targeted the India captain, but the delivery down the corridor of doubt ultimately undid him. The ball took the outside edge and landed safely in the fielder's grasp at first slip after he chased an outside off delivery from Charlie Anderson in the 21st over of the innings.
