The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has approved all-rounder Rinku Singh for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024 second-round matches. After being selected for the senior men's Test series against Bangladesh, players like Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal were forced to withdraw; Rinku is now a replacement player in the India B squad. The Duleep Trophy's second round of matches will begin on September 12.
Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Akash Deep have been included in India's Test squad for the series against Bangladesh and will not play in the next round, the BCCI also disclosed in a release. The selectors have chosen SK Rasheed (Andhra CA) to replace Jurel, Akshay Wadkar (Vidarbha CA) to replace KL Rahul, and Pratham Singh (Railways) to replace Gill. Shams Mulani, a left-arm spinner, will take Kuldeep's place in the squad, while Akashdeep will be replaced by Aaqib Khan (UPCA).

The selectors have picked Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh as replacements for India B's Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant, respectively, in the team. In the game scheduled for the second round, fast bowler Yash Dayal, who has also been chosen for India's team, has been called up for the first time. The team now includes Himanshu Mantri (CA, Madhya Pradesh).
