Before the third Test match against England at Lord's, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant took advantage of a brief respite by attending Wimbledon. Following his role in India's historic first Test victory at Edgbaston, which tied the five-match series 1-1, the star cricketer attended the event in London wearing a sophisticated avatar. One of India's top players in the Test series thus far, Pant took a break between games to watch a tennis match on Centre Court. The southpaw was greeted on Wimbledon's official Instagram account. The caption read,“Welcome to #Wimbledon, @rishabpant”

In a few images shared on their Instagram account, Wimbledon displayed his dignified appearance in a striped suit and tie. Pant, who is well-known for his lively personality behind the stumps and his daring batsmanship, also sported a set of spectacles that had never been seen before, which gave him a stylish appearance. Anushka Sharma, a movie star and her husband, the former Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, were both seen at Wimbledon earlier. West Indies powerhouse Brian Lara and England's batting mainstay Joe Root were also in attendance.

However, Pant shocked his supporters by admitting his passion for tennis, as they had assumed he would use his preferred PlayStation during the brief interval between the two Test matches. With two hundreds in the first Test innings and 25 and 65 in the Edgbaston Test, the 27-year-old has had an incredible run in the first two Test matches. Pant was instrumental in helping India tie the series following the defeat in the first Test, scoring 342 runs at an average of 85.50 over four innings.

The 27-year-old missed Day 1 of the second Test at Edgbaston, but he made up for it with a blistering 65 off 58 deliveries, which helped India declare victory and win by a commanding 336 runs. The pacers Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep shared 17 wickets, and he was outstanding behind the stumps as well.

Pant, who was named a deputy for the Shubman Gill-led Test team, has fulfilled the duties and demands of coach Gautam Gambhir and head selector Ajit Agarkar, who will be hoping he maintains his devastating middle-field form for the remainder of the tour. On Thursday, July 10, the next Test at Lord's will begin.
