On October 18, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain of India, went to Radhika Merchant's birthday celebration. Anant Ambani, the son of Mukesh Ambani, one of India's most prominent business magnates, married Radhika. It's important to remember that Dhoni attended the couple's wedding in Jamnagar and even sent the couple a wedding greeting on Instagram.
A number of Bollywood superstars, in addition to the former captain of the Chennai Super Kings, attended the birthday celebration. The 43-year-old was spotted posing for a photo with one of Radhika's pals, and the image is making the rounds online.

Talking about Dhoni, his supporters eagerly await his appearance in the next Indian Premier League season. In 2024, the batsman-wicketkeeper gave up his captaincy at CSK and is now only playing as a player. Prior to IPL 2025, he had declared that he was waiting for the BCCI's revised retention regulations before deciding whether to make a comeback.
Notably, the new regulations with six retentions, including an unbounded retention, were announced by the apex board. After 16 years of representing India, MS Dhoni, who last participated in an international match in 2019, meets the requirements for uncapped retention and may enter the competition as an uncapped player. On August 15, 2020, he declared his retirement from international cricket.
Mohammed Kaif, a former Indian batter, was quoted by TOI, "I think the rule has been appropriately modified. 'I don't need money, and I'll adapt to whatever the team decides,' Dhoni himself adds. He doesn't care even if he receives 4 crore as an uncapped player (Paise chahe 4 crore mil rahe ho as an uncapped player). Since 4 crore isn't much to him, it sounds odd to mention. Since everyone is aware that Dhoni Sahab's rule has been altered, it makes sense to modify it for a player of his calibre."
