After posting a video of himself and Women in Blue all-rounder Shreyanka Patil performing the well-known "Aura Farming" dance, India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav became viral on social media. The pair can be seen dancing happily on a moving cart in the video, imitating a popular dance trend that has received millions of views on social media.

After an 11-year-old Asian child captivated onlookers with their exuberant motions during a boat race, the Aura Farming dance first acquired popularity. This dance was extensively mimicked, including by a number of players, and swiftly gained popularity on social media. The cheeky message that Suryakumar added to the video he posted on social media said, ‘Manager told me to trend, so do it.’

After playing in the Mumbai T20 League and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Suryakumar had surgery. India and England are presently playing a five-match Test series. The team's next scheduled events include the Asia Cup 2025 and a white-ball series against Australia.

Shreyanka was included in the India A team for the forthcoming tour of Australia; however, she was later removed from the team after failing the National Cricket Academy's (NCA) fitness test. Indian athletes are eager to return to their teams and pass the NCA fitness test as soon as possible. Shreyanka missed the recent triumphant India women's trip to England, where the team won both the T20I and ODI series, due to an injury she got during the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024. It is anticipated that she will aim for this year's home ODI World Cup.
