Not only has the on-field drama attracted attention, but the third Test match between Australia and India at the Gabba in Brisbane has been nothing short of thrilling. The "GabbaTroopers," a mob of enthusiasts costumed like Stormtroopers from the classic Star Wars franchise, stole the show and gave the action-packed game a distinctive flair.

Notably, some Star Wars fans, known as Stormtroopers or "Gabbatroopers," demonstrated their joyous gallantry by dressing as the famous soldier figures from the venerable film series at the third Test, which was hosted at the historic Gabba. For those who are unfamiliar, these characters are neither real warriors from the parallel universe, nor have they encountered any adversaries to battle, as the classic Hollywood film has demonstrated throughout the years.

Star Wars steals spotlight at Brisbane Test:

The International Cricket Council (ICC) actually shared some pictures of Star Wars enthusiasts the other day, including the well-known figure Darth Vader. Following some hostile jeering directed at the Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, this has undoubtedly altered the crowd's attitude as well as the game's atmosphere.

For the unversed, a recurrent theme at the Gabba has been Stormtroopers, the fictitious soldiers who serve the Galactic Empire in Star Wars. The GabbaTroopers are a fun and unique tribute to the franchise. The group, who were celebrating their seventh anniversary, made the Test match even more exciting. Fans on and off the pitch were delighted as the stadium joined in the festivities by playing classic Star Wars soundtracks for the event.

Despite the fact that there is no historical link between cricket and the Stormtroopers, these supporters have flocked to Ashes matches between Australia and their bitter enemies, England.

Talking about the match, the pivotal fourth-wicket partnership between Steve Smith and Adelaide Test hero Travis Head helped to steady Australia. It is expected to get more intense as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and a possible World Test Championship final position are at stake.
