Starting on August 29, Zimbabwe will host Sri Lanka for a white-ball series that will include three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and two One-Day Internationals (ODIs). The Harare Sports Club in Harare will host all five games. Zimbabwe will host Sri Lanka in the exciting limited-over series, and the two countries will finally play each other in a bilateral series after nine years apart.

With a busy schedule, Zimbabwe's cricket calendar is heating up. They will play South Africa in a Test series in a few days, and then they will play New Zealand and South Africa in a tri-series. They will be hosting Sri Lanka in their own country, which will add even more excitement to their agenda.

Sri Lanka's Limited-Overs Series:

For the Chevrons, the three-game T20I series is far more significant because it is a crucial prelude to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final. The team will have a vital chance to guarantee a berth in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2027 during the qualification competition, which is hosted by Zimbabwe and starts on September 19.

Even though they met at the ICC, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka will play each other in a bilateral series on Zimbabwean territory after 2016. Beginning on August 29, Sri Lanka will visit the cricket-playing country to participate in three Twenty20 Internationals and two One-Day Internationals. All of the matches will be held at the Harare Sports Club. As Zimbabwe prepares to host the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final with hopes of earning a ticket in the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, the forthcoming series against Sri Lanka will be even more important.

The ICC cited Givemore Makoni, Zimbabwe Cricket's managing director, as saying, "We are delighted to confirm Sri Lanka's visit to Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a thrilling and competitive series. Matches between our two nations have always produced entertaining cricket, and this tour comes at a crucial time for our team as we prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifying campaign."
