According to reports, actor Alia Bhatt is getting ready to play the lead in Abhishek Pathak's film Housewife. Pathak has previously worked on Drishyam 2. In 2026, the production is expected to start. Bhatt will play a married woman, setting the stage for a story that explores modern problems in the home.

In the movie, which revolves around a married couple, Alia will play a homemaker. According to reports, actor Rajkummar Rao is in negotiations to play the movie's male protagonist.
