Dhurandhar 2 First Review: Yami Gautam Calls Ranveer Singh Starrer ‘Beyond Extraordinary’

The sequel appears poised to bring the storm, if the first Dhurandhar was a box office smash. When Yami Gautam spoke about the popular franchise and her husband, filmmaker Aditya Dhar, the crowd at the News18 Rising Bharat Summit 2026 cheered, blushed, and smiled.

With Dhurandhar, an espionage thriller that became one of the greatest films of the past few years, filmmaker Aditya Dhar struck gold. Under the leadership of superstar Ranveer Singh, the movie made over ₹800 crore in India and more than ₹1300 crore globally. Beyond the figures, the film's compelling narrative, iconic sequences, and music captivated the public's attention and dominated social media conversations.

Dhurandhar, which debuted in December 2025 and became one of the largest spy dramas in recent memory, was directed by Dhar, who is well known for Uri: The Surgical Strike. On March 19, 2026, Ranveer Singh's follow-up, Dhurandhar 2 (also known as Dhurandhar: The Revenge), is scheduled to be released in theatres. The movie will be available in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.

Actress Yami Gautam has fuelled fan enthusiasm for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, which is scheduled for release on March 19, by disclosing that she has already seen the follow-up. At the News18 Rising Bharat Summit 2026, Yami gave a heartfelt speech regarding Dhar's dedication and vision for filmmaking. 

She said, “I have already watched Dhurandhar 2. It is beyond extraordinary. I was really emotional. I had to catch a flight that day, so I couldn’t say anything to Aditya, but later, I couldn’t do anything. I had to read a script, but I couldn’t; I had to watch something, but I couldn’t. I was just watching the beautiful sunset outside and wondering what I would tell Aditya when the flight lands. I wanted to justify my feelings on the film and what I experienced. Aditya loves his audience and the country, and he has given his life’s effort to make this film. Dhurandhar 2 will be an experience that the audience will never forget."
