Curling her hand inside the opening of a conch shell, one of the world's most beautiful ladies is smeared in blood and filth. Raising it as an improvised pair of brass knuckles, she goes on to crush the face of one of the pirates who raided her island residence. The fact that this is Priyanka Chopra Jonas's first significant fight sequence in The Bluff indicates that it differs greatly from other pirate movies that audiences have watched.
In the series, a talented former pirate must face her violent past to save her family after her peaceful life is upended by the return of her resentful former commander. "The Bluff," directed by Frank E. Flowers and starring The Russo Brothers (Avengers: Endgame, Extraction), is billed as a non-stop thrill adventure that combines historical context with contemporary cinematic flair, featuring suspenseful sword fights, clever traps, and violent brawls.

Talking to Esquire about her character, Priyanka said, “I was unaware of the existence of female pirates. I had no idea that women actually commanded their own ships during a time when piracy—true piracy—was far from the Disney portrayal. It was terrifying, it was violent, it was ruthless.”
The Russo Brothers' AGBO Studios and Amazon MGM Studios are the producers of The Bluff. Producers Anthony and Joe Russo present The Bluff, a gritty, thrilling action-adventure about family, survival, and the unwavering power of a mother's love, against the stunning background of the Cayman Brac's Skull Cave and tall cliffs. The film is set for a major release on Amazon Prime Video on February 25.
On the work front, Priyanka's most recent appearance was in the action movie Heads of State on Prime Video. She is now working with Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran on SS Rajamouli's ambitious Telugu film Varanasi. The Bluff and Judgment Day, both scheduled for 2026, are two of her next Hollywood productions.
