Ram Charan’s Peddi Faces Possible Delay Due to Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2

On March 26, the Dhurandhar saga's second part will be released. There are persistent rumours that other movies from the South that were scheduled to be released at the same time have been delayed.  When questioned, Aditya Dhar, the director of Dhurandhar, made it quite apparent that there was a possibility of delaying the release date of Dhurandhar 2. This leads us to Ram Charan's Peddi, which is set for March 27, eight days following Dhurandhar 2. There are significant rumours that Peddi will be delayed by many weeks in order to avoid a conflict.

Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame is directing Ram Charan's upcoming film, Peddi, which he is currently filming. Alongside Nani's The Paradise, the action drama is scheduled to debut in cinemas on March 27, 2026. There have been rumours over the past few weeks that Nani could delay his movie and wasn't interested in running afoul of Peddi. Nani, however, refuted these rumours and stated that his movie will be released on March 27, 2026.

Things have now changed since it was revealed that Peddi's producers indeed intend to alter the movie's release date. Given that Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 is slated for release on March 19, 2026, and is expected to dominate the box office for at least a week, a source close to the unit has disclosed that serious talks are underway. The producers of Peddi, a pan-Indian movie starring Ram Charan, are considering delaying its release because they don't want to take a chance.

The team currently anticipates a solo release in April 20206. Since Nani's picture is a local Telugu release and Dhurandhar 2's dominance might not have an impact on it at the regional box office, this action might be advantageous. Peddi, which is being released in several languages, is an exception to this rule. The filmmaker believes that the March 27, 2026, date is perfect and shouldn't be altered, even if a major movie like Dhaurandhar 2 is produced, despite the producers' desire to postpone.

Ram Charan is not in the mood to risk a disaster at this point in his career, according to several sources, even though there hasn't been an official statement yet.
