Shruti Haasan Claims X Account Hacked After Bizarre Memecoin Tweets

On Monday, June 24, 2025, actress and singer Shruti Haasan caused a stir when a string of odd tweets surfaced on her official X (formerly known as Twitter) account. They were content with cryptocurrencies and memecoins. Fans have speculated that her account may have been hacked as a result of the abrupt tweets. Actress and musician Shruti Haasan urged followers not to click on any links posted from her profile on the microblogging site X after revealing on Tuesday that her account had been compromised.

The tweets contained statements such as “Wait… @mcuban really dropped a memecoin? Just spotted it on @JaredDudley619, assistant coach of the Mavs."There were no explanations or context in any of the posts. Taking quick action, Shruti took it to her official Instagram handle and warned her fans, saying, “Hi lovelies, just want to let you know my Twitter account has been hacked. That's not me posting, so don't interact with that page till I'm back (folded hands and red heart emoticon).”

Shruti's powerful performance at Thug Life's audio debut recently caused a stir. At the audio launch in Chennai, Shruti performed a stirring live version of Vinveli Nayaga in front of the entire cast and music composer AR Rahman. After nearly thirty years apart following Nayakan, the film heralded the reunion of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan. Thug Life did not do well at the box office when it was released earlier this month.

Shruti is preparing for her upcoming big-screen role in the highly anticipated Coolie, which is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and stars the renowned Rajinikanth.
