The IPL 2025 super auction is quickly approaching, and as all ten teams are trying to get the greatest players, there may be multiple bidding battles. The Mumbai Indians might offer some of the most anticipated bids. While Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma were retained for Rs 16.35 crore, Rs 16.35 crore, Rs 16.30 crore, and Rs 8 crore, respectively, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah signed an extension with MI for Rs 18 crore.

MI also confirmed Hardik Pandya as captain for the 2025 season of the lucrative league following the announcement of the player retention. This has left Mumbai Indians supporters wondering who the clubs will bid on during the upcoming mega auction, which is rumoured to take place in Riyadh on November 24 and 25.

Mumbai Indians top picks for IPL 2025 mega auctions:

3. KL Rahul:

IPL 2025

KL Rahul, the standout batsman for India, was one of the most unexpected players left off the retention list. In his first two seasons as manager, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants guided his team to the playoffs. Rahul was released after a poor 2024 season, though, and he might cause quite a stir at the auction. Having participated in 132 IPL games over his career, KL Rahul has scored 4,683 runs. KL Rahul was one of the top batters and a frequent orange cap winner in his early IPL seasons. The teams will be hoping that Rahul will once again shine.

2. Yuzvendra Chahal:

IPL 2025

The most successful bowler in IPL history is Yuzvendra Chahal he is also known as a star Indian spinner. He has already thrown out 205 hitters in 160 games. Chahal made his IPL debut for MI in 2013, however, he gained notoriety as the team's top wicket-taker for both RCB and RR. Chahal will now be available for MI to target at mega auctions after the Sanju Samson-led team failed to retain him despite collecting a ton of wickets for RR in the last three IPL seasons. Chahal can cover for MI, who haven't had a good spinner in the last three seasons.

1. Rishabh Pant:

IPL 2025

Star Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is one of the most anticipated additions to the auction pool. The Delhi Capitals released the 27-year-old, and a number of teams will want to sign him. In addition, the Mumbai Indians will require a wicketkeeper-batsman as they released Ishan Kishan. Throughout his career, Pant has participated in 111 IPL games, scoring 3284 runs at an average of 35.31.
