Regarding the latest drug charge involving bowler Kagiso Rabada, who was participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has released a statement. Citing personal reasons, the pacer returned from the competition. A few weeks later, though, he talked candidly about his suspension for failing the dope test. Following his disclosure of his side of the tale, CSA came forward to update the supporters on their regulations and their stance against the use of illegal substances in amateur and professional cricket.
Kagiso Rabada apologised to his supporters worldwide on Saturday after admitting to using a prohibited substance for recreational purposes. Cricket South Africa (CSA) later issued a statement acknowledging Rabada's role in the event and expressing apologies.

He said in a statement, "As has been reported, I recently returned to South Africa from participating in the IPL for personal reasons. This was due to my returning an adverse analytical finding for the use of a recreational drug. I am serving a provisional suspension, and I am looking forward to returning to the game I love playing."
Rabada is expected to return to the national team for the June World Test Championship (WTC) finals, according to certain publications. He is a vital bowler who will be suspended for a specific amount of time before rejoining the team. The report read, "Rabada has not played a match since the end of March, while the exact length of his sanction has not been confirmed. However, it’s understood that Rabada’s ‘ban’ is expected to be within the range of a single month, and some of this looks to have been effectively served already. It means Rabada should soon be back in action, and there is no threat that it could impact his participation in the World Test Championship final against Australia in June."
