The 14-year-old valiant RR opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored the fastest century for an Indian in just 35 deliveries against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025), making it one of the most memorable and devastating centuries in the IPL.

This knock broke the Royals' five-game losing streak and was the match-winning knock of dreams. Without a doubt, Suryavanshi's famous Sawai Man Singh innings has drawn a lot of attention. In an IPL video, he stated that he owes all of his success and accomplishments to his family, who helped him and made many sacrifices to ensure he could compete in a major tournament like the IPL. Vaibhav Suryavanshi discusses his family's hardships in his early gaming days.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi credits parents:

The path to success for Suryavanshi was not a simple one. He talked about the many attempts his parents had made to assist him in getting to where he is now. The 14-year-old has advanced in his profession thanks to his father quitting his job to concentrate on his son's game, his mother getting up early to make meals for him before practice, and many other efforts.

Vaibhav said, "Whatever I am today, I owe it to my parents. My mother used to wake up early because I had to go to practice, and she used to prepare food for me. She would sleep for three hours. My father left his work for me, and my big brother is handling it now. We were struggling. My father has backed me and said I would be able to achieve it. Whatever result is visible today, and the success I have achieved, is due to my parents."

Prior to Suryavanshi, Yusuf Pathan, a three-time IPL champion and 2011 World Cup winner, had the fastest century by an Indian in the IPL. He accomplished this in 2010 while playing for the Rajasthan Royals against the Mumbai Indians. At Brabourne Stadium, Pathan scored his century in 37 deliveries.
