KL Rahul Tagged as 'Too Shareef' by LSG Owner in Shocking Revelation

KL Rahul, whose somewhat abrupt exit from the team was one of the main talking topics during the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) auctions. As per the insider reports, the relation between Sajiv Goenka and KL Rahul had took a turn for worse. Goenka posted a picture of the two of them together and referred to Rahul as "family," although both of them made took sly digs on another before the auction and for a little while after. 

Speaking about the issue once more, Goenka referred to Rahul as "family" and said that the Bengaluru-born cricket player is incredibly brilliant. He also expressed her hope that the player will reach his full potential. In addition, he wishes the keeper-batter luck on his new endeavour and anticipates that he will perform well for India and in the next IPL seasons.

On the TRS podcast, Goenka commented, "KL Rahul has always been family for me and he will remain that way. He captained Lucknow Super Giants for three years and has shown great results during his tenure. I genuinely wish for his success, no matter what happens. Shareef insan hai (He is a good person). He is a very honest and decent person and I wish that everything good happens to an honest person like him. He is also very talented and I wish he would display his talent to the world. I am very sure he will do well. My best wishes are with him."

For the unversed, Rahul was signed by the Delhi Capitals for INR 14 crore prior to the IPL 2025. Although Delhi has not yet confirmed any developments, he is among the favourites to lead the team next season. Before the IPL season begins, a decision is anticipated to be made. Rahul is currently playing for India in the series against Australia in the interim. He performed admirably in the first Test, which allowed the player to keep his place in the starting lineup for the second match without Rohit Sharma.
