The Rajasthan Royals spent the majority of their funds on some well-known individuals on Sunday, Day 1 of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. The most costly purchase was Jofra Archer, who was brought back by RR for an incredible Rs 12.50 crore. With the notable additions of Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Nitish Rana, Tushar Deshpande, and Fazalhaq Farooqi, RR strengthened their core group of players. RR made some astute purchases on Day 2 of the auction, primarily on uncapped Indian celebrities.
The IPL 2025 mega auctions took place on the 24th and 25th of November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The bigwig franchises of IPL went into bidding wars to obtain their pick. They also made history with some of the biggest bids ever in the IPL league. Fans were surprised to see some of the veteran players go unsold.
