The defending champions Islamabad United (ISL) and Peshawar Zalmi (PES) square off in Match No. 5 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Islamabad United defeated Lahore Qalandars by eight wickets to start the season. Shadab Khan (3 for 25) and Jason Holder (4 for 26) bowled out the opposition for 139 thanks to their outstanding bowling performances. Then, with 14 balls remaining, Colin Munro sealed the victory with 59 not out in 42 balls. In their opening match, Peshawar Zalmi lost to Quetta Gladiators by 80 runs, which was a disappointing performance. They lost three batsmen in the first four overs while chasing 217. Hussain Talat (35 off 19) and Saim Ayub (50 off 38) retaliated, but another collapse ended Zalmi's pursuit.
