On Day 1 of the second Test match between Australia and India in Adelaide on December 6, a strange thing occurred. A technical issue momentarily interrupted the third session of the Adelaide Oval's opening-day match. The game was briefly interrupted due to a problem with the stadium's floodlights.
Some of the more strange things that people saw during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024–25) day-night test at the Adelaide Oval. The Australians have so far controlled the first day of the second Test at Adelaide. The Australian pacers bowled out Team India for a low score of 180.

When Indian pacer Harshit Rana was getting ready to bowl in the 18th over of Australia's opening innings, the consecutive floodlight malfunction occurred. Play had to cease for a moment while the lights went out. But after a two-minute wait, the lights came back on. But a few deliveries later, they broke down once more. The Australian hitters at the crease when the second interruption occurred were Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne.
As the drama played out, the commentators began to amuse themselves by making jokes about how things had turned out. Harsha Bhogle was the first to ask if anyone had fallen asleep. David Warner, a former Australia opener who is now a broadcaster, also weighed in on the situation and remarked that it was likely someone had forgotten to pay the electrical bills. Warner remarked cheekily, "Someone hasn't paid their bills here."
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, India had a terrible start to the game as Starc got rid of Yashasvi Jaiswal on the opening ball. After a 69-run combination between KL Rahul and Shubman Gill calmed the ship, Starc's comeback to the attack broke India's momentum, dismissing Rahul and turning the tide in Australia's favour.
