In the opening game of the four-match T20I series against South Africa at the Kingsmead in Durban on Friday (November 8), Team India will try to extend their winning streak to ten games. On November 8, South Africa (SA) and India (IND) will play their maiden Twenty20 International at Kingsmead in Durban. After India defeated South Africa to win the T20 World Cup 2024 in June, this will be the first time the two sides play one another. In T20Is, India is the top-ranked side, while South Africa has fallen lower down the standings following their 3-0 loss to the West Indies in August. They are now ranked sixth.
India is dominating in Twenty20 Internationals under its new skipper, Suryakumar Yadav. They defeated Bangladesh and Sri Lanka 3-0 apiece in the Twenty20 International series. They have a relatively young team going into the Rainbow Nation, and they tied the three-match series 1-1 the previous time they came to play there for a T20I series.

Pitch Report:
In T20 cricket, the wickets at the Kingsmead are renowned for mostly helping bowlers, particularly the pacers, although the batters have also had fun and amassed a ton of runs. Australia chased down 191 in the most recent Twenty20 International at the venue, despite the fact that the average score while batting first is 136 overall.
Rain spoiled India's tour of South Africa last year, which was intended to be the final visiting team to play under the shortest format at Kingsmead. Nonetheless, the Indian cricket team has a strong record at the Durban stadium, having won four games there, including the well-known bowl-out triumph over Pakistan in the 2007 T20 World Cup.
