Rani Mukerji EXITS Akshay Kumar Starrer OMG 3 Due to Creative Differences?

Akshay Kumar and Rani Mukerji were scheduled to work together on Oh My Goddess, which was directed by Amit Rai. By wishing Rani the "Goddess" on the release of Mardaani 3, Akshay officially announced the movie. "Go see the goddess of acting in her most potent form. I adored it when I saw it. He had posted, "Don't miss it," subtly endorsing Oh My Goddess. Rani was never signed for Oh My Goddess, according to an article published earlier in the day on a PR website.

Akshay Kumar is returning to the franchise with a new story three years after Oh My God 2. He is reportedly collaborating with Amit Rai again on a sociodrama that draws inspiration from Hindu mythology. According to reports, Rani Mukerji will appear in the third part of the series. Production on OMG 3 is expected to start in the middle of 2026, but without Rani. The Mardaani 3 actress was in talks with the producers, according to the most recent information on the movie, but no agreements had been reached when the rumours surfaced in the media. She is not a part of OMG 3, which is tentatively dubbed Oh My Goddess, according to a press source.

Rani Mukerji and Akshay Kumar's Dream Collab Cancelled?

Rani Mukerji was confirmed to work with Akshay Kumar and Amit Rai on Oh My Goddess, according to reliable sources. A source now reveals to Bollywood Hungama, saying, "However, she started to have creative differences with Amit Rai. She had a certain way of looking at the script, including post-production, and expected Amit to follow her experience. Amit, on the other hand, had a strong counter perspective on the presentation of the film. The duo eventually could not gel well, leading to a fall-out of sorts."

In 2012, Oh My God (OMG) made its debut. The satirical comedy, which was based on the Gujarati drama Kanji Virrudh Kanji, stars Paresh Rawal and Akshay. The movie was a commercial success and won praise from critics.  Oh My God 2, a stand-alone follow-up starring Akshay, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam, was released in 2023.

Recently, Rani Mukerji appeared in Mardaani 3. The beggar mafia episodes around India served as the inspiration for the police thriller. The film, which was directed by Abhiraj Minawala, made Rs 51.47 crore nett in India. She will then see Shah Rukh Khan again in King. On December 24, the action drama is scheduled for release.
