One of the reasons the Mumbai Indians are among the most successful IPL teams, along with CSK, is that they have a group of players who constantly deliver quality performances for them. But there will be a huge auction prior to IPL 2025, so the team will have to let go of a lot of players, including some well-known ones. It's a concerning circumstance for MI, which has a number of elite players.
The Mumbai Indians kept Tilak Verma for INR 8 crore, Rohit Sharma for INR 16.30 crore, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav for INR 16.35 crore, and Jasprit Bumrah for INR 18 crore. As a result of that decision, they had to let go of some of their best players from the previous three seasons—guys they had put a lot of effort into and who could spark bidding wars between rival teams at the next IPL auction in Jeddah.
Who are the players that MI released and that every team will be vying for? Check out these excellent players who will be in high demand after being released from the Mumbai camp.
MI Cricketers in Demand:
3. Tim David:
This Australian cricketer, who was born in Singapore, has been one of the most talked-about players in recent seasons. Not to mention that six franchises placed bids for him at the most recent super auction. Tim David has played 34 games for MI, accumulating 658 runs with an outstanding strike rate of 171.35 while batting lower in the order. He performed a fantastic job for MI with his power-packed batting and ability to control runs with his bowling. Because MI didn't keep him in their five-man roster this utility player might fetch high prices at the IPL 2025 mega auction.

3. Akash Madhwal:
Akash Madhwal, an uncapped India pacer, might have been one of the Mumbai Indians' uncapped retainers. He and Nehal Wadhera were in the running, but the team only kept five of them and kept one Right-To-Match card for the auction. In the 2023 Indian Premier League, Madhwal was outstanding, taking 14 wickets at an economy rate of 8.58 in eight games. He had few opportunities and only took five wickets in the same number of games in 2024. Madhwal would still be in demand. especially considering the constant demand for Indian pacers. The teams will be keen to add young pacers, and Madhwal would be one in demand from the uncapped group, as players like Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar approach retirement.

1. Ishan Kishan:
In the IPL mega-auction, Ishan Kishan can turn out to be the most expensive Indian player. Many teams will be searching the auction for three desired items: a wicketkeeper, a southpaw, and a top-order aggressive batter. The 26-year-old was notably purchased for INR 15.25 crore at the 2022 mega-auction, and it would be shocking if he didn't bring in at least that much. In his 105 IPL games thus far, he has amassed 2644 runs with a strike rate of 135.86. He is a reliable top-order hitter who will be in high demand because many teams are searching for an opener, ideally a southpaw.
People making jokes about Ishan Kishan's career is over when their own favourite career is starting at the age of around 30😂🤣

Ishan might have done more than them before the age of 25.
